Lionel Messi’s reported £522m move to Saudi Arabia is set to reignite his rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo, much to the excitement of football fans.
According to recent reports from France, Lionel Messi’s transfer to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia is said to be almost finalized. Earlier, there were concerns that the deal might not materialize due to objections from Messi’s wife.
However, it appears that the football star has managed to convince his spouse and is ready to accept the lucrative offer, which will make him richer than Cristiano Ronaldo, the former Manchester United striker.
Previously, Pulse Sports had reported on the possible obstacles to Messi’s move, but the latest news suggests that the Argentine has successfully overcome those hurdles.
As per a Dailymail article citing AFP, a reliable source familiar with the negotiations revealed that Lionel Messi will be joining the Saudi Arabian League for the upcoming season. The undisclosed source also stated that the transfer is significant and has already been finalized.
In the meantime, the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player returned to training alongside his teammates after receiving a suspension for an unsanctioned trip to Saudi Arabia.
The suspension resulted from his absence during PSG’s game against Troyes, as he was penalized with a fine and two weeks suspension by the club.
The team officially announced the return of Lionel Messi to the training ground, and photos of him training with his fellow players were also shared.
