Real Madrid, who have won their last four games, including the Club World Cup, are travelling to Merseyside for their Champions League last-16 opener on Tuesday.

They secured a 2-0 win over Osasuna on Saturday and are still in the hunt for the top spot in La Liga.

Although Karim Benzema missed the game against Osasuna, he was included in the 23-man squad that is travelling to England. However, Toni Kroos and Aurelien Tchouameni are not part of the squad as they did not return to training on time due to fitness issues.

Thibaut Courtois has recovered and will start in goal, but Ferland Mendy is the only other player who will be absent from the senior squad.

So that’s how final 23 Man Squad looks like against Liverpool. On paper it’s solid in all the departments.
